As Webb Police Officer Robert Jones arrived bystanders pointed to him the suspect going east on Highway 52 on foot. The car was also on fire but no one was in the vehicle.
Officer Jones and Houston County Sheriff Deputy Sgt. Adam Zey wrestled with the suspect and took him into custody.
Because of this suspect's action, Centurylink is having to reset a utility pole. If your phone service in that area is out that is the reason. Centurylink will be resetting that pole and restoring service tonight.
