HEADLAND:     11:34 PM.   There has been a long standing tradition in Headland where Seniors and perhaps Juniors roll yards for Headland High School Homecoming.

The last couple of years it has come with a tremendous amount of controversy. 

And tonight was the night for rolling and tonight was the night for controversy.

From The Beginning:

1. I will agree with today’s thug climate it can be dangerous in people’s yards at night.

2. It is a homecoming tradition that has been happening for years. And the Headland residents should realize that this is a tradition.

3.The kids need to respect people’s property even if rolling the yard.

4. If there are any leaders in Headland, SOMEONE, should come up with a stick with the symbol “ Y “ on it. That would indicate you support the Headland Homecoming tradition.

5. Some of the adults need to remember you did not come out of your mother’s womb as the south end of a northbound donkey. You came out as a kid who grew into the south end of a northbound donkey. But growing up you participated in activities. If the kids had activities they could enjoy things might be different t instead of always complaining.

6. Under the current scenario some kids is going to get hurt and that is a shame. So if there is a leader then someone needs to get a procedure down for people to follow.

7. If the kids struck an adult, that is wrong and they need disciplined.

8. if an adult knew it was kids and pulled a gun on them then he should need help using toilet paper to clean around the gun after going to the bathroom.

POINTS ON EACH SIDE. Safety precautions need to be taken. Enjoy there is a tradition and take notice of it.

And be thankful there is a peaceful tradition.

In Montgomery and Birmingham they have a daily tradition. Shooting each other.

And Alabama has an AttorneyGeneral not smart enough to do anything about it. He wants the Sheriff to focus on bingo and not shootings, robberies and murders.

Again, if there is a leader get a solution with a plan. And “safely“ let kids be kids.

It is true Headland Fire- EMS did have to respond to a 57 year old male bleeding from the head.
