HEADLAND: 09:15 AM. Henry County 911 dispatched a structure fire at 205 Alice Street in Headland. At the time of dispatch and arrival of first fire engine additional manpower was requested.
Headland Fire - EMS was the first units dispatched and to arrive.
Fire Departments and personnel from Kinsey Volunteer Fire, a off duty Dothan Fire Captain responded, Haleburg Volunteer Fire, fireman from Columbia Volunteer Fire - Rescue, and Newville Volunteer Fire Department responded.
Headland Police were on the scene and Henry County Sheriff Eric Blakenship dispatched three or more Henry County Sheriff Deputies to assist.
The home was not occupied at the time of the fire. However on dispatch it was unknown if the house was occupied.
Henry County Emergency Management Director Matt Hatcher was involved in the fire fighting and pumping water from a fire engine.
Alabama Power Company was on the scene.
Headland Fireman Tony Wilkerson was suited up fighting the fire with everyone.
The family lost everything in the house.
