BARBOUR COUNTY:      Was receiving text messages of multiple Barbour County Sheriff Deputies at a residence on Highway 431 near the Alabama Rest Area. The text messages were they could see a sheet covering a body.


Spoke with Barbour County Sheriff Tyrone Smith, who was enroute to the scene. The preliminary information is the son found his dad deceased in the yard.


It has been confirmed the death is of natural causes and no foul play.


Barbour County Coroner's Office is on the scene along with Barbour County Sheriff Deputies and the Sheriff himself, Tyrone Smith.
