MADRID: At 12:16 AM this morning Houston County Sheriff 911 Center dispatched Madrid Volunteer Fire to a motor vehicle accident with no injuries.
The accident location is 12234 South U.S. 231 between Hardin Road and Lonnie Road.
The accident is a vehicle verses a deer.
No reported injuries.
The Houston County Volunteer Fire Association has had a policy from decades ago to be dispatched to motor vehicle accidents with no injuries in the county. The reasoning behind it goes to when not many Deputy Sheriff’s on the streets “in the county”.
The Volunteer Fire Departments gave visual warning of the accident and have been when 911 reports were no injuries but you arrive on the scene and there were injuries.
ALEA - Troopers will be required to work the accident.
