DOTHAN: Last evening about 11:15 PM Dothan 911 dispatched Dothan Fire - Dothan Police and Pilcher Ambulance to a structure fire.
The fire location was Carl Street in Dothan. The report to the 911 Center was smoke and flames present. When Dothan Police arrived they requested the fire department to step it up.
When Dothan Fire arrived the fire was an offensive attack. A single story, wood frame structure, smoke and flames visible.
Dothan received information someone possibly resided at the structure. Dothan Fireman made entry into the interior of the residence for a primary and secondary search. No one was found inside the burning structure.
Dothan Fire Incident Support unit arrived. Pilcher Ambulance crew along with Dothan Fire set up rehab for the fireman and checked them as they were exchanged out.
Dothan Fire Chief Larry Williams and Deputy Fire Chief Chris Etheridge both responded when they were advised the house was possibly occupied.
After two extensive interior searches no one was found.
Dothan Fire Marshall, who by the way worked today and back on the streets investigating fires responded to the scene of the fire for investigation.
No injuries.
