18-year-old female found slain in back seat of car; 14-year-old accused

A Tuscaloosa teen was found shot to death in the back seat of an abandoned vehicle Sunday afternoon, and a 14-year-old is being charged in her killing.
Authorities late Sunday night identified the victim as Elexis Lashelle McCool. She was 18.
Tuscaloosa police officers were dispatched at 1:30 p.m. to the 3700 block of 25th Street on an abandoned vehicle with someone possibly in the backseat, according to Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit Capt. Kip Hart. When officers arrived, they located a deceased female in the backseat who appeared to have been shot.
