HOUSTON COUNTY: At 2:01 PM Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched Lovetown Volunteer Fire and Cottonwood Volunteer Fire to Billy Snell Road to a structure fire.
This was the same fire scene the departments responded to at 5 AM this morning.
The fire had reignited and required fire department response.
Wiregrass Electric had spent their Mother's Day responding to scenes. They responded to the Billy Snell Road fire to cut the power.
Lovetown Volunteer Fire requested Houston County Sheriff 911 Center dispatch Dothan-Houston County Emergency Management Director Chris Judah. So Director Judah left his mother's day and responded.
EMA Director Judah's morning was spend in and out of the church service with his mother being on top of the weather.
The fire was under control.
The fire departments have thermal imaging devices. When they left this morning the fire was cooled down and temperature down. But there could always be a hidden spark that after time can reignite.
THANKS to Lovetown Volunteer Fire and Cottonwood Volunteer Fire, Wiregrass Electric and Dothan-Houston County Emergency Management for sacrificing their Mother's Day and serving their community.
