ASHFORD: 2:42 PM Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched Ashford Police, Houston County Sheriff Deputies and Ashford Rescue to the 1100 block of North Broadway to an edged weapon assault.
When the call was dispatched Ashford Police Chief Malvin Anderson was on the scene within 30 seconds of the call being dispatched.
The call is believed to be a mother of a child and father of a child in argument. The child is in the house. The male has a cut to the forearm and the female a cut to the wrist.
Houston County Sheriff Deputy Michael Miller is on the scene a couple of minutes behind Chief Anderson. The emergency radio traffic has been cleared and scene declared safe for Ashford Rescue to enter the scene.
Ashford Police Officer Tim Miller has arrived on the scene.
