3 killed in 2 overnight shootings in Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM: Gunfire erupted Sunday night at an east Birmingham restaurant, killing one person. Then, just several hours later, two people died in a shooting on the opposite side of the city.
None of the victims’ identities have been released, and no arrests have been announced. Investigations are ongoing.
The first shooting happened about 10 p.m. outside Captain D’s Seafood in the Huffman area. Details are limited, but Birmingham police Sgt. Rod Mauldin said he expects to release more information shortly.
