MALVERN - GENEVA COUNTY: 2:32 pm Geneva County 911 dispatched multiple departments to a vehicle in water call.
The location was in the 3500 block of North County Road 49. This road runs from Malvern to Bay Springs.
At the time of the 911 dispatch the reports to Geneva County 911 the subject drove vehicle off in the water and the subject was still inside the vehicle.
Malvern Volunteer Fire Department, Slocomb EMS, Geneva County Sheriff Deputies, ALEA - Troopers responded. At the time of dispatch Houston County Rescue Dive Team was dispatched while all emergency units were responding.
On arrival the person in the vehicle had exited. The pond was on private property so ALEA - Troopers are not investigating the accident.
A beautiful yard and drive. The drive curves and it appears the vehicle id not curve and drove straight into the water. All you can see of the vehicle is the roof top.
Slocomb EMS checked the patient but no one was transported.
Malvern Volunteer Fire and Geneva County Sheriff Deputies are still on the scene as of 3:17 PM>
