HOUSTON COUNTY: At about 11:00 AM Dothan 911 dispatched Rehobeth EMS, Rehobeth Voluteer Fire, Houston County Sheriff Deputies and ALEA - Troopers to a motor vehicle accident in the 7000 block of U.S. Highway 231 South.
Three southbound vehicles, on the inside lane of traffic, all traveling south, hit each other. The front vehicle, a SUV, made a sudden stop. That caused the passenger car to strike the front SUV. The SUV behind the passenger car then struck the car. The car was sandwhiched between the two SUV vehicles.
No one was injured.
ALEA - Trooper Shane Rogers was in charge of the accident investigation.
One vehicle, the family of four were from Atlanta Georgia. They knew no one in Dothan or nearby and no rental cars available.
Dothan-Houston County Emergency Management, on their private vehicle, transported to the family of four to Comfort Inn where they were able to get a room to be comfortable until family could come from North Georgia to get them.
