DOTHAN: Alabama Law Enforcement Alliance for Peer Support held a two day conference here in Dothan.
No one understands cops like other cops. They are motivated by their compassion for their fellow officers, and are here to help them confront the realities of law enforcement.
Many of the hazards they face are the unseen effects of the life of a law enforcement officer; the inherent stresses of the career and lifestyle of a cop affects them in ways that only another cop can understand.
Officer survival also includes taking care of yourself physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. We’re here to stand with you.
This program isn’t just for cops, they also help Firefighters, EMS and Dispatchers. The truth is no one know or understands when every first responder goes through on a daily basis.
First responders have to do things, see things and live with things no normal person was ever imagine.
Below in the video two officers talk about the importance and share their experiences.
