DALE COUNTY: 4:10 PM. Ozark Police and Dale County Sheriff Deputies have been in a high speed chase.
The chase was of a Nissan Armada. Speeds of 100 plus miles an hour with shots fired.
The chase was at Highway 231 and Highway 27. Passed Trailer World, north bound. The Dale County Sheriff air unit was requested.
As the chase approached Highway 231 and Highway 51, Dale County, northbound, Dale County Sheriff Chief Deputy Mason Bynum issued instructions to take opportunity if presents itself safely, conduct a “pit maneuver” on Suspect Vehicle.
Shortly thereafter law enforcement officers conducted a pit maneuver on Highway 231 and County Road 82 and forced the suspect vehicle off the road. Three people were taken into custody.
Dale County Sheriff Wally Olson said the orders were given to take a safe opportunity to conduct pit maneuver in order to stop the chase before someone got hurt. The combined officers executed the maneuver “text book style” ending a dangerous event for the public, officers, and suspects.
No one injured. Law Enforcement officers are investigating to Determine all of the facts.
The chase began about 4:02 PM and by about 4:11 PM the suspects forced to a stop and safely in custody.
