HOUSTON COUNTY: About 4:30 PM Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatched Houston County Sheriff Deputies, Lovetown Volunteer Fire, Cottonwood Volunteer Fire, the EMS of jurisdiction for that location, Pilcher Ambulance, and ALEA - Troopers to a motor vehicle accident with injuries.
The accident was before One Stop Foods in about the 6300 block of Cottonwood Road. A vehicle was stopped, with turn signal on, turning left into a driveway. A SUV apparently was approaching the vehicle waiting to turn, and could not stopped. Skid marks were on the roadway and the SUV hit the ditch to the right, and flipped.
There were two injuries in the SUV. Both were trauma alert and transported to a Dothan Hospital by Pilcher Ambulance.
Traffic was a issue until the scene was cleaned up. Knight's Wrecker responded.
ALEA - Troopers are in charge of the accident investigation.
