DOTHAN: 4:31 PM Dothan Fire Units are in the 3600 block of West Main Street at a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Pilcher's Ambulance on the call also.
At the same time Dothan Fire Units are in the 2600 block of South Oates Street at a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Pilcher's Ambulance on the call also.
At the same time Dothan Fire Units are on South Saint Andrews Street at a medical emergency. Pilcher's Ambulance on the call also.
At the same time Dothan Fire Units are on Apple Street at a medical emergency. Pilcher's Ambulance on the call also.
At the same time Dothan Fire units are responding to Doctor's Drive to a medical emergency. Pilcher's Ambulance on the call also.
Along with Dothan Fire and Pilcher's Ambulance there are Dothan Police units at the two wrecks and another call that I failed to catch.
At 4:35 PM Ashford Rescue has been dispatched to a medical call, non emergency, on Strong Road. The ambulance has just transported a patient from Ashford to Flowers Hospital so the Ashford Ambulance will have to respond from Flowers Hospital. Traffic is backed up from Ross Clark Circle to past the Nissan Dealership. So Ashford will be forced to take Whatley Drive to Westgate Parkway.
The Sheriff Department has upgraded the call from non emergency to emergency. Cottonwood Rescue is responding to assist Ashford due to response distance and such heavy traffic.
Dothan 911 is handling and managing all of these calls and you would never know the multi tasking not only Dothan Fire is doing but the Dothan Police 911 Center and Houston County Sheriff 911 Center
At 4:45 PM now a medical emergency on Burbank.
