HOUSTON COUNTY - JACKSON COUNTY: Madrid Fire and Rehobeth Rescue responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash at US 231 and the Florida State Line. Houston County Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene and advised it was across from the Florida Welcome Center. 


Jackson County Fire and Rescue responded due to location being in Florida. The driver was outside the vehicle when units arrived and advised he was wanting to be transported by ambulance.


One Northbound lane where the crash occurred is closed until it can be cleaned up. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
