HENRY COUNTY: 4:54 PM Headland - Henry County 911 dispatched Headland EMS to Calhoun Drive to a medical emergency.
The EMS crew from Headland requested Survival Flight to respond. They have requested Survival Flight which has just landed at the boat landing near Calhoun Drive. Law Enforcement have secured a landing zone for Survival Flight.
The patient has numbness which could be a indicator of a stroke. THANK YOU to an alert Headland EMS Team which has forward thinking to have the helicopter dispatched.
Also THANK YOU to Headland Mayor Ray Marler, Headland Department of Public Safety Director Mark Jones, Healdand Fire - EMS Captain Tony Wilkerson for providing Emergency Medical Services backup for the entire Henry County.
It is the responsibility of the Henry County Commission and not the City of Headland or the City of Abbeville to provide Emergency Medical Services. That is a 36 minute run from Headland to Calhoun Drive.
If it is a stroke patient, according to medical professionals, there is a three hour magic window for a TPA shot from the onset of the symptoms for the shot to be administered. PRAYERFULLY, if this is a stroke, people in authority who apparently do not care have not hindered this persons medical care.
Dedicated to Henry County Commission Chairman, Henry County Commission, and ALEA Director Jimmy Helms.
