KINSEY:    Kinsey Police Chief Jim Mock had a busy weekend.


On Friday Chief Mock made a traffic stop. In that traffic stop Chief Mock established probable cause for a search of the vehicle.


As a resultof the search one pound of Marihuana was recovered and $ 2,000.00 in currency was seized.


Chief Mock made an arrest and placed the defendant's in Houston County Jail.


Later on Saturday morning/Friday night, Chief Mock was sitting beside Highway 431. A vehicle pulled into the median, sit there, and spun the tires taking off. Chief Mock activated his blue lights and the passenger threw an object out of the vehicle beside Highway 431.


After Chief Mock stopped the vehicle and requested backup he found what the passenger threw from the vehicle. It was a firearm.


After Chief Mock's traffic stop and as he was investigating the male and female he learned Dothan Police were investigating a Shooting Into An Occupied Vehicle. Chief Mock notified Dothan Police Patrol which also notified Dothan Police Criminal Investigation.


As a result of Chief Mock investigation and Dothan Police investigation the traffic stop were the suspects of Dothan's Shooting Into An Occupied Building.


Chief Mock arrested the driver for DUI and the passenger with Persons Forbidden To Posses A Firearm. Dothan Police made arrests for Shooting Into Occupied Building.


After working about 24 hours Chief Mock finally was able to go home sometime Saturday morning.
