5:36 PM Dothan Police Chase Travels From Woodland To Ross Clark

DOTHAN:      4:09 PM     Dothan Police initiated a traffic stop on Woodland near Magnolia Drive intersection.

The vehicle refused to stop and continued to travel with the Dothan Police Officer behind with lights and siren.

The Dothan Police Officer was now in pursuit. 

The vehicle, a gold colored KIA, continued to Main Street where they turned east on Main Street. Multiple Dothan Police Officers were getting into position to help end the chase.

The vehicle traveled east on Main Street at speeds close to 100 miles per hour.

A Dothan Police Officer trained in pit manuevers and car equipped to perform pit manuevers was attempting to get into position to pit the vehicle to end the pursuit.

Houston County Sheriff Deputies were getting into position to assist in ending the pursuit.

When the suspect vehicle and law enforcement officers arrived at East Main Street and Ross Clark Circle the chase turned north on Ross Clark Circle. As the chase and multiple law enforcement units arrived at Ross Clark Circle and Kelly Drive the suspect vehicle stopped.

Two people were taken into custody by Dothan Police. A criminal investigator with Dothan Police was called to the scene. Dothan Police are investigating if this is a stolen vehicle.

The gold vehicle was red this morning. Now it is painted a gold color. If the suspects taken into custody painted the vehicle, when released from jail they ARE NOT recomended as someone you would want to paint your vehicle.
