DALE COUNTY:     The Dale County Republican Party met in their regular scheduled monthly meeting at the HooperGrass Family Style Restaurant in Ozark for their regular scheduled monthly meeting.


Tonight’s featured speaker was Dale County newly elected County Commissioner Adam Enfinger.


Enfinger was elected in the primary and took office this past Wednesday. Commissioner Enfinger spoke about his feelings of the need for steady EMS funding. Enfinger said coming up with a permanent solution for funding so the EMS staff and management were not having to always beg for money.


RSN was a little late and did not hear all of Commissioner Enfinger’s talk. But the EMS funding is something needed to ensure adequate emergency medical care countryside.


Commissioner Enfinger was asked what the status was of the threatened legal action of the Mayors verses the Dale County Commission on EMS Funding. Commissioner Enfinger could not answer that question at this time. Again, Commissioner Enfinger just took office this past Wednesday.


Commissioner Adam Enfinger was on the Newton City Council before being elected Dale County Commissioner. Once elected as County Commissioner he resigned his post with Newton City Council. Enfinger said Newton was always able to make ends meet.


Commissioner Enfinger recently met with officials in Napier Field. The income to Napier Field is from their water department only. So some municipalities are struggling a lot to survive.


Commissioner Enfinger said that Dollar General had the permits to construct and had already broke ground. The location is Highway 231 and Dale County Road 18.


Commissioner Enfinger also said Jack’s Restaurant is seeking land to construct a new restaurant in Newton.


Commissioner Enfinger brought Miss Newton, Madilyn Cherry and Little Miss Newton Hadley Lawrence with him.


The next month speaker will be a member of the Alabama State School Board.
