7:00 AM.. Dothan in Pursuit of a Vehicle Refusing to stop

DOTHAN-HOUSTON COUNTY: Around 7:00 am this morning, a Dothan Police Officer observed a vehicle serving badly and attempted to stop it on South Oates near Denco Auction. When the unit hit the lights the driver hit the gas and the pursuit was on. The pursuit traveled south bound to Harden Road in Madrid at speeds of 95 to 100 mph, when the driver lost control and wrecked out.
Houston County Sheriff Deputies and the Sheriff Valenza responded to asst the lone officer. Major Rafferty's unmarked vehicle was struck by the fleeing driver just before the driver lost control and wrecked out.
Rehobeth Rescue and Madrid were dispatched for a pt check. Rehobeth Rescue checked out the pt but he was uncooperative and wouldn't let them. The driver was taken into custody by Dothan Police.
Houston County Sheriff’s Office will also have charges pending.
