MALVERN - 7:39 PM.  Geneva County 911 has dispatched Malvern Volunteer Fire and Slocomb Fire to a structure fire. 

Geneva County 911 updated responding units the call was upgraded to two mobile homes structures on fire.

Malvern Volunteer Fire called for assistance from Rehobeth Volunteer Fire Department and Bay Springs Volunteer Fire Department to respond. 

Southern Junction Fire Chief Matt Boster is also Responding to the fire to assist.

On the arrival of Malvern Fire Chief Johnson he reported the two trailers werre fully involved. Chief Johnson reported this would be a defensive attack only.

At 7:48 PM fireman on the scene called for the Alabama State Fire Marshall to respond to the scene.

Geneva County Commissioner Weston Spivey is on the scene assisting in fighting the structure fire. Commissioner Spivey went because he volunteers but also because he was aware the departments were stretched thin.

AT THE SAME TIME AS THE STRUCTURE FIRE A Geneva county Deputy Sheriff is involved in a motor vehicle accident on Highway 52 and County Road 110 ?? ( not fur sure that was the road ) but in the Hartford area.

Hartford EMS is on the scene and reports to one vehicle has heavy damage and one vehicle is off the roadway.

BE AWARE... A Slocomb Fireman was traveling to the National Peanut Festival and was struck behind. In front of him was another Slocomb Fireman. One of them had to be transported to the hospital. So the manpower assist was required because several fireman out with the injured fireman.
