DOTHAN: The smoke is churning from about 10 smokers at Lowe’s Southside, Ross Clark Circle and Hartford Highway.

The Sarah Elizabeth Goree Memorial Boston Butt and Rib Sale is underway.

The boston butts and ribs will be hot and ready for purchase early Thursday morning. The sale will continue through Saturday or until the last are sold.

SARAH ELIZABETH GOREE life was cut short in 2001 when she was a passenger in a car that was involved in a traffic accident on Westgate Parkway in Dothan. At the time Sarah was in Dothan High School.

Sarah’s parents, Bill and Lisa Goree, her brother Seth and sister in law Erin, wanted to do something in memory and honor of Sarah. So they started the SARAH ELIZABETH GOREE Boston Butt and Rib Sale raising thousands and thousands of dollars for the Southeast Alabama Child Advocacy Center.

You will not find any better people then Bill and Lisa, Seth and Erin. Many people take off work and take vacation to come out and help the Goree’s with this sale each year.

A time to reflect on the beautiful young lady, Sarah, and a worthy cause, the Child Advocacy Center.

This is delicious food. Come out early Thursday, DO NOT WAIT because they go in a hurry.
