DOTHAN: At 7:57 PM Dothan 911 dispatched Dothan Fire, Dothan Police and Pilcher Ambulance to 702 South Edgewood to a structure fire. Dothan 911 reported to responding units the fire alarms were going off and possibly from the kitchen.
Multiple emergency units responded to the scene.
The location of the fire is a single story residential apartment complex.
On the arrival of the first Dothan Fire Engine they reported nothing visible and instructed responding units to stand by fire hydrant ready to deploy, but do not deploy until word was given.
The primary fire engine investigated and reported nothing was visible and were checking the overhead. The update was given minutes later that al units could return to service the cause is an apparent faulty smoke detector.
All units returned to service.
