BIRMINGHAM: 8:07 PM. UAB Hospital in Birmingham Alabama, the night shift nurses have refused to clock in for work. That leaves the day shift with patients and day shift unable to turn over care to get some rest.
One of the largest complaint is travel nurses. The travel nurses are making three times what nurses that have been employed are making.
Also the nurses are tired.
WKRG News in Birmingham has been on the scene.
This same thing is going on locally with travel nurses. Places the medical care professionals in a major issue because of the shortage of nurses. And can not blame the nurses for the walk out. They could be a travel nurse and make three times what they are making locally.
A HUGE PROBLEM.
