8:25 AM... Traffic Stop Leads to a Chase in Southern Houston County

HOUSTON COUNTY:  This morning a Houston County Deputy attempted to stop a vehicle on Lota Road in Southern Houston County when the driver took off.


Deputies gave chase but the driver drove through fields and circled around Dean Road where he went off roading again and had to bail from his vehicle.


The deputy apprehended him in the back 40 of the field. As we understand it the vehicle was stolen.


The driver is well know by law enforcement and is going to spend time at the Houston County Jail.
