DOTHAN: 8:28 PM Dothan 911 has dispatched multiple Dothan Fire Engines to 337 North Brannon Stand Road to reports of a structure fire, electrical sparks from meter box on the side of the residence.
Dothan 911 reported to units responding complaintant reported Utilities were on the scene earlier with issues and could find no problems. Residents reported some power surges.
On response Dothan Fire Batallion Chief instructed the 911 Center to dispatch Utility Department.
Dispatched at 8:26 PM the first Dothan Fire Engine was on the scene at 8:30 PM ( Just four minutes ). The first engine on the scene was Engine 8 ( Highlands ).
At 8:32 PM Engine 8 reported all units could return to service. No fire. Problems with the electrical meter and confirmed Dothan Utilities was needed on the scene.
Dothan Police also responded.
