HOUSTON COUNTY: 8:46 PM. Houston County Sheriff 911, the true out front women and men who make the connections with the public and the emergency responders have dispatched Hodgesville Volunteer Fire Department to a outdoor fire.
The men and women who “donate” their time, monies, vehicles, and often times equipment left their homes, for free and their own gas, to respond to the outdoor fire in the 5400 block of Donna Mae Drive.
The Volunteer Fireman reported when he was on the scene the transformer was “lightly” sparking and no major fire. The Volunteer Fireman requested the utility company be notified.
The man in charge of the safety of the citizens and guests for Houston County, law enforcement wise, and the right hand to the nighttime Patrol Commander Lt. Reichert, is Sgt. Josh Harper. Responding and assisting the volunteer fireman, Sgt. Harper is on the scene.
The utilities department responsible for that territory has been dispatched.
