9 Year Old Addison Goes Pink For Her 2 Year Old Friend Who Was Called To Heaven

ADDISON GOES PINK FOR MARY FRANCES


Last month I went to Children’s Hospital in Birmingham to meet a very special little girl who had been diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and to also meet her loving parents Kevin and Stacey Bell.


When I got there her parents told me that Mary Frances started having seizures that morning and the Doctors had her in Intensive Care.


I talked to Kevin and Stacey in the hallway for several minutes and I told them that I looked forward to meeting Mary Francis soon and hopefully they could come to visit me in Dothan and I’d get Mary Francis to help me make a poundcake.


I drove back home that evening and I received a text message the next day from Mary Francis’s dad that she was forever healed.


God called their precious little girl home.
Even though I never got the opportunity to meet her I still just broke down in tears.
I kept asking Why? Why?


Several days later I asked them what is Mary Francis’s favorite color? They told me her favorite color IS Pink. ( I don’t use was..she may have changed addresses...Heaven...but she didn’t change the things she loves)


So in memory of the beautiful little girl I never got the honor of meeting
( yet )...
I bought a Pink KitchenAid Mixer and today I gave it to Addison James who met Mary Frances when they were both being treated for cancer at Children’s Hospital.

For those who may not know...Addison is a cancer survivor after being diagnosed with a brain tumor and she wanted to help bake cakes because she said that was her way of giving back after we did a fundraiser for her last year. And let me tell you... Addison has been very busy baking a lot of delicious cakes to help other children in need.


Mary Francis even though I never got to meet you I love you with all my heart and I know you are smiling from up above knowing that your friend Addison has the Pink Colored Kitchenaid Mixer and will soon be helping other children by baking lots and lots of cakes to help raise money for other families with a child diagnosed with cancer or other life threatening diseases.
