HEADLAND: 9:10 PM. Headland Police were responding to a drunk and disorderly person complaint. The officer was traveling north on Cleveland Street.
The officer was traveling north on Cleveland Street and came up behind a vehicle traveling north. The officer went to the left of the vehicle to pass when the driver of that car turned left onto King Street.
The car that turned struck and clipped a utility pole. The Headland officer traveled into a residential yard and came to rest against a house.
A considerable amount of damage to both vehicles. When the police car was pulled from the house it appeared only a small amount of siding was damaged.
ALEA - Trooper Spencer Adkinson investigated the accident since it involved a Headland Police Officer.
Headland EMS transported to the hospital. The injuries are not reported to be life threatening.
