9:11 PM.. Vehicle verse Pole and South Appletree with Power Lines Down

DOTHAN: Dothan Fire and Dothan Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in the 500 Block of South Appletree.


A member of EMA heard a loud boom and called in a transformer blowing just before the Accident was dispatched. Engine 1 arrived on the scene advised heavy damage to the vehicle with power lines down and a major power outage on South Appletree.


Dothan Utilities have been dispatched to the scene due to the power pole being broken and power lines down. Everyone is reported to be out of the vehicle and the ambulance was down graded to non-emergency. Engine 1 canceled the ambulance as it was arriving. No one was transported to the hospital.


The area where the crash occurred is closed until it can be cleaned up. The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Dothan Police.
