HOUSTON COUNTY: 09:19 PM. Houston County 911 dispatched multiple Volunteer Fire Departments and Houston County Sheriff Deputies to a structure fire.
The location is Thompson Road off Highway 84 at Pansey. A mobile home structure is on fire and two others are in danger.
Ashford Fire has requested Alabama Power be dispatched.
Ashford Fire, Lovetown Volunteer Fire, Pansey Volunteer Fire, Gordon Volunteer Fire and Lucy Volunteer Fire dispatched.
On the arrival of Ashford Volunteer Fire Chief they reported only one structure on fire. Ashford Fire Chief Jimmy Posey reported a defensive fire attack only, structure 1/3 of the way down, ammunition inside.
Houston County Sheriff Deputies report this might be a arson fire.
Ashford Volunteer Rescue is on the scene.
Chief Posey instructed Gordon Fire Chief Justin McAllister to take his brush truck and come into the woods and look for spot fires. Reports are spot fires in the woods.
