9:35 PM. Teen Receives Severe Burns Flown From Hartford To Mobile

HARTFORD: At about 6:19 PM this evening in Hartford a 15 ear old teenager received serious burns.
Hartford Fire - EMS was dispatched to the scene. A mutual aid request for Slocomb EMS to respond advanced life support. Slocomb Fire Chief Kyle Hovey rolled.
Geneva 912 launched Survival Flight. Alabama Highway 52 was shut down for landing zone for survival Flight.
Retired Dothan Fire Captain Mark Reynolds is Flight Medic on Survival Flight and was on the flight. This young man had two of the best Medics around. Slocomb Fire Chief Kyle Hovey is a retired Captain with Dothan Fire Department.
After treating the young man Survival Flight took off from the scene for a direct flight from Hartford to Mobile to the urn center.
Survival Flight is a step above paramedic in-they have the ability to take over your breathing. While I do not know if done on this teenager but they have the ability to pu a person under to limit the pain. Once they shot is administered it is almost “lights out” as the person is put to sleep.
Prayers for this young man. One thing I can say with absolute certainty, this young man had the best of the best on scene with Hovey and Reynolds.
