DALE - HOUSTON COUNTY:      9:51 PM.    A high speed chase has just ended in Houston County.

The chase began on Highway 27 by Bojangles in Enterprise. Started about 9:24 PM. The chase continued to East Lee Street, then Highway 27 into Ozark. RSN started monitoring when the chase was south of Ozark on Highway 231. When we first heard it the vehicle was southbound on Highway 231 approaching Dale County Road 18. ALEA Troopers were in the chase.

Dale County Sheriff Deputies, possibly Ozark Police joined the chase. The chase proceeded south on Highway 231 at speeds of 100 miles per hour, plus and minus.

Midland City Police and Pinckard Police joined the chase.

Houston County Sheriff Deputies and Dothan Police joined the chase. Sometimes the speeds were reported at 120 miles per hour.

The chase continued south on Highway 231 to Montgomery Highway and Ross Clark Circle. At that intersection the vehicle turned left, ( north ) on Ross Clark Circle.

Headland Police notified Headland Police Officers and Henry County Sheriff Deputies in the event the vehicle turned north on Highway 431. But it did not. The vehicle continued on Ross Clark Circle, crossing Highway 431 and towards Webb Road and Ross Clark Circle. The vehicle crossed Kinsey Road and Ross Clark Circle, Webb Road and Ross Clark Circle, Highway 52 East ( Columbia Highway ) and to East Main and Ross Clark Circle at Southeast Health.

The vehicle then turned east onto Highway 84, continuing speeds from 70 miles per hour to 120 miles per hour. The vehicle continued east on Highway 84 passing Forrester Road and Highway 84, through Cowarts, Avon, crossing County Road 33, still east bound on Highway 84. Crossed Rocky Creek Road.

The 911 Communications Centers had contacted Early County Georgia Sheriff Department, Seminole County Georgia Sheriff Department and Georgia State Patrol.

As the vehicle approached Curtis Mixon Road and Highway 84 the vehicle turned left onto Curtis Mixon Road and suddenly into the parking lot of Dollar General.

( Must have been trying to get to the store before they closed !!! ).

While he made it to the store, he was greeted with law enforcement, at gun point. The subject was taken into custody without a physical resistance from arrest.

Law Enforcement units are on the scene evaluating what allergic reactions to all of those blue lights and sirens the subject had that prevented him from stopping.

There were no accidents or injuries. The suspect did not get his purchase from Dollar General. But I am sure he will spend WAYYYYY more now then he would have spent at Dollar General.

GOOD JOB to all agencies involved. Especially a good job to the Ozark - Dale County 911 dispatchers, ALEA Dispatchers, Dothan 911 dispatchers, Houston County Sheriff 911 dispatchers, and all of the officers involved.
