HOLMES COUNTY :On April 7, 2021 deputies responded to a residence on Hwy 179 in reference to a male subject acting crazy.  Upon arrival deputies located a white male subject later identified as Matthew Brown from Vernon, Florida rolling around on the ground in the yard.


As deputies were talking to Brown it was apparent that he was under the influence of illegal narcotics. 



Deputies located a loaded 9mm handgun lying in the area where Brown was located.   A search of Brown person revealed a container in his pocket that contained methamphetamine.  Brown was placed under arrest and charged with possession of methamphetamine.
