October 15th Is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Day

One of the many things that I have learned since doing The Angel Of Hope Statue 5 years Ago Is…..

Many Mother’s And Father’s Who Lost A Child From Pregnancy Loss Could Not Grieve Openly Because They Felt That Others Did Not Think Of The Loss Of An Unborn Child As An Actual Loss Of A Child.

Since The Angel Of Hope Statue Was Erected I Have Listened To Many Moms And Dads Who Lost A Child From Pregnancy Loss And I Heard Many Of Those Parents Saying The Same Thing..

They Were Told After Losing Their Unborn Child That ...

“ Well You Can Try Again “

Unfortunately Many Parents Had To Grieve Behind Closed Doors Or In Dark Rooms Because ...Born Or Unborn...That Was Their Child...That Was The Baby They Could Feel Moving Inside Of Them...That Was The Baby That They Sang Too...Talked Too Every Day And Every Night As They Waited For That Day That They Were Told That Their Precious Baby Would Be Born.

And Sadly That Day Never Came.

I Have Heard From Mother’s That Lost A Child During Pregnancy Over 30, 40 And 50 Years Ago Who Said....

“Thank You For Finally Letting Us Have A Place To Grieve And For Posting That The Loss Of An Unborn Child Is Very Devastating To The Parents.”

“The loss of a child is a difficult topic for everyone involved.

For extended family members finding the right thing to say is probably the most difficult.

Not underestimating the amount of grief is one way to help your family member.

Make your family member feel as though the baby mattered to you too.

Be supportive by helping the parent deal with life after the loss.

Everyone grieves differently, so the loss should never be minimized.

My HOPE is that All of us will remember those parents who are grieving everyday from pregnancy and infant loss

For Every Child…Born Or Unborn…Who Are No Longer With Us...

You Are Always Loved, Missed And Remembered By Your Loving Family
