A Single Vehicle Crash Claimed the Life of Barbour County Man

DOTHAN POST – A single-vehicle crash at approximately 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, has claimed the life of Barbour County man. Morris Dywane Banks, 40, of Louisville was driving south in a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix over the posted speed limit.


He then left the roadway, struck a mile-marker post and then struck a tree. The crash happened on Alabama 51 near mile marker 46, approximately one mile south of Clayton city limits. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
