A.C. Smith's attorneys request second immunity hearing from new judge

Attorneys representing Montgomery officer Aaron Cody Smith are taking a second opportunity to request an immunity hearing after a new judge was tapped to preside over the murder case. 


Smith was charged with murder in February 2016 after he shot and killed Greg Gunn, who was walking home from a neighborhood card game when Smith conducted a random stop-and-frisk. Midway through the pat-down, Gunn fled from Smith who chased, tased and beat Gunn before shooting him five times. Smith has argued the shooting was in self-defense.
