Accident Claims a Life

A Cottondale man died Sunday in a two-vehicle crash in Tuscaloosa County, according to state troopers.
James William Duncan, 51, died when the 1986 Chevrolet C-10 he was driving was struck by a 2012 Nissan Maxima driven by Roderick Ramon Armistad, 39, of Hoover.
Duncan was ejected from his vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers say Duncan was not wearing a seat belt.
The crash occurred at 6:45 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Interstate 59 and Covered Bridge Road. No further information was available. The cause of the accident is still being investigated by State Troopers.
