Alabama Department of Public Health Being STUPID PRATTVILLE BUREAUCRATS

ALABAMA:    Some Prattville Bureaucrats have fell and hit their head which has knocked their common sense and responsibility out of whack.

The Alabama Department of Public Health has a division which is Emergency Medical Services. We saw during COVID how the Alabama Department of Public Health could not keep the COVID numbers correct. So there are errors employed.

Apparently some of those errors are employed on the Emergency Medical Side.

Some of the rural Emergency Medical Services still operate with volunteers only. The Alabama Department of Public Health is bullying those EMS services which have served their communities for more than 20 years. They are demanding they be operational 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. Yet the state, nor does the county, provide the EMS service with any money to operate.

It is a 21 minute drive to the community with the volunteer ambulance to the town with the nearest EMS service, and a 17 minute drive to the other nearest community with an ambulance.

ALABAMA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH:   time is very important when an unconscious person is not breathing. Permanent brain damage begins after only four (4) minutes without oxygen, and death can occur as soon as four (4) to six (6) minutes later.

Alabama Department of Public Health Bureaucrats, while this VOLUNTEER EMS service can not guarantee 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year, "some coverage" is better than no coverage.

Governor Ivey, if you are in a community, had you prefer to have EMS some if you stopped breathing? Perhaps that day will be the one they have coverage.

So why does the Alabama Department of Public Health think it is ok to close this EMS Service of 20 years? Also this service has ALS ( Advanced Life Support ). When some of the volunteers are available, some of them are Paramedics. That means they can push the required medications to attempt to save lives.

From this community to Southeast Health, it is 25 miles or a 30 minute drive. So Alabama Department of Public Health Bureaucrat, I have some questions:

1. close this volunteer service and the person wait 17 to 21 minutes for EMS to arrive?

2. close this volunteer service, wait 17 to 21 minutes for EMS to arrive, and then travel 30 minutes from the community to the nearest hospital.

Alabama Department of Public Health Bureaucrats, is that the best you have to offer?

Again, some is better then none. Just hopefully the day the loved one stops breathing with be the day someone is available.

It is not costing the State of Alabama for this Volunteer EMS service to remain licensed and available when needed. But if they save one life is that not what the Alabama Department of Public Health's mission is? Or is your mission to close and let people die?

Tell him you will slash his budget if he allows his underlings to continue such stupidity. My dealings with Jamie is he is a wise man and not aware of what these underlings are doing and how stupid they are being.

These volunteers do not draw a paycheck. They have put their hearts into this EMS for 20 consecutive years. And they feel a responsibility to their community to provide EMS when available. They are not government employees with great benefits and retirements. They are people who have a calling to save lives. And they do all they can.

Jamie, you are better then this. And if you allow then I will personally make sure everyone who waits for EMS or loved one dies because of delays has your name, number, email, fax and office location. 

Some is better then none.
