ALABAMA WOMAN KILLED IN PANAMA CITY HIT AND RUN

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - An Alabama woman was hit and killed on Front Beach Road Saturday after 8:00 p.m. The vehicle fled the scene.
Panama City Beach Police said officers responded to the area of Front Beach Road and Sharky's Restaurant in reference to a pedestrian hit by a motor vehicle.
They say the pedestrian, a white female from Alabama, was crossing Front Beach Road when she was hit by an unknown vehicle. The vehicle then continued westbound.
Officials say the suspected vehicle is possibly a dark-colored truck with a ladder/ladder rack on the top.
According to the press release, "The vehicle is an extended truck, possibly Chevrolet or GMC model, and may have a business decal/magnet on the driver door. The vehicle may have minor front end damage."
Anyone with information is asking to call the Panama City Beach Police Department at 850-233-5000. The case is still under investigation.
