BONIFAY – On June 21, a deputy with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle on Spring Valley Rd. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop, continuing to drive recklessly until finally striking a barbed wire fence near the intersection of Spring Valley Rd. and Gavin Rd.


The driver, identified as Kasey Williams of Bonifay, exited the vehicle and fled into the woods. A nearby property owner found Williams trespassing on his property and was able to detain him until deputies arrived at the location to take him into custody.



Kasey Williams was arrested and transported to the Holmes County Jail where he faces charges of reckless driving, driving while license suspended or revoked, fleeing and attempting to elude an officer, resisting arrest, and fleeing the scene of an accident with property damage.
