Alford Florida Man Arrested for Grand Theft (Warrant)

On March 25, 2020, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received a call in reference to a theft in the area of Alford. The victim observed an unknown suspect leaving the property pulling a trailer containing multiple stolen items from the victim’s residence. The victim was able to take photographs of the suspect vehicle, which turned out to be a vehicle/suspect that is known to law enforcement. The suspect left the property, and unhooked the trailer leaving the stolen items behind not far from the residence. Members of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division were able to recover the stolen items.
The suspect, identified as Justin Michael Nix, was arrested on March 26, 2020 by the Bay County Sheriff’s Office for an outstanding warrant he had in Bay County. When Nix was apprehended, Investigators with Jackson County Sheriff’s Office conducted an interview with him. Nix admitted to his involvement with the theft case from Alford. Sheriff Roberts would like to thank the Bay County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in this case.
