Arrest Made in Homicide Case

HEADLAND: On Sunday March 29, 2020 at approximately 11:16am, the Headland Police Department received a call to the Green Tree Apartments on Boynton Street in reference to a suspicious circumstance. Upon arrival

officers found a female deceased. Upon investigation, investigators ruled the death as a homicide.


The deceased was identified as Josie Renee McClenny W/F 23yoa. On March 30, 2020 investigators arrested Stephon Arkel Walton B/M 23yoa of Eufaula, Alabama with the murder of McClenny.



Stephon Arkel Walton was transported to the Henry County Jail and booked on $250,000.00 bond. The Headland Police Department wants to thank the citizens of Headland who provide valuable information in this case.

We also want to thank the US Marshall Task Force for their assistance in this case. This shows when Law Enforcement and the community work together we can keep our city safe.
