Arrest Made In Rape Reported In Kinsey

KINSEY:    This week a rape case was reported to Kinsey Police Officer Robert Jones. At the time of the report Kinsey Police Officer Jones conducted an brief investigation followed by his contacting Houston County Sheriff Deputy Goodson and Houston County Sheriff Criminal Investigator Deon Robinson.

The three conducted a more in depth investigation. A suspect was identified. To locate the suspect the law enforcement officers dug deeper. The suspect was located and brought into the Houston County Sheriff Criminal Investigation Division for questioning.

A sexual assault kit was done on the rape victim.

Following the investigation law enforcement took Eric Lamont Bullock into custody and charged Bullock with Rape in the first degree.

Rape in the first degree is by forcible compulsion.

Bullock was booked into the Houston County Jail on September 18 where he remains at this time.

This is not where a random rapist was on the street. The suspect was known by the victim but this was in no way a consented to. The specific location is withheld to not identify the victim.
