ATTEMPTED TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO CHASE; SUBJECT APPREHENDED

WASHINGTON COUNTY, FL; A man has been arrested after leading Law Enforcement on a vehicle pursuit followed by a short foot chase in Washington County.
At approximately 12:45 a .m. October 23rd, Washington County Sheriff Office Deputy observed a
Black Chevrolet Silverado traveling in access of 30 miles per hour over the posted speed limit. As deputies attempt a traffic stop, the driver of the vehicle rapidly increased the speed and continued traveling at a high rate of speed.
As deputies narrow in on the subject and approach the intersection of Ollie Rd. and Deltona Blvd. they lose site of the vehicle. Short time later deputies observe the vehicle to be overturned in the ditch. The driver vacated the vehicle and continued on foot. Within minutes, the subject, 31-year-old, Timothy Edward Manney of Chipley, was taken into custody. As deputies secure the driver, they hear a passenger needing assistance still located in the vehicle. Deputies administer first aid while awaiting medics. Due to injuries sustained during the crash, Airheart flew the passenger out of state to be treated for injuries.
A search of the vehicle revealed an abundance of ammunition located in the center console.
Manney, a convicted felon, was booked into the Washington County Jail and charged with resisting officer without violence and possession of weapon or ammo by a convicted felon.
