DOTHAN - HOUSTON COUNTY:    Recently the 911 Centers, Law Enforcement, Fire and EMS have been responding to calls of threats of suicide.


A few ago both Dothan Police and Houston County Sheriff Deputies were responding to calls of threats of suicide. And they have already had multiple other calls of the same nature earlier.


Within the last several weeks a male subject and in a totally separate case a female was successful in suicides and their lives claimed.


There are many incidents where people are diagnosed with terminal medical conditions who want to live. But they are given no choice but they fight through the end and pass away only when GOD allows.


Those thinking of taking their own lives please read and understand...you are loved and there are no problems bad enough for you to take your own life. It is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.


Seek help. But not only are you making a decision that can not be reversed you are sentencing your loved ones to a life on earth of hell in always wrestling with "why did I not see this coming" or "why did they take their own life".


So please - do not take your own life.


Over the last couple of months it seems the 911 Centers are more frequent on dispatching emergency units to depressed people who are thinking or threatening suicide.


Several transports tonight by EMS. And Southeast Health is on Behavioral Medicine Unit Diversion. Meaning they have more patients then beds and staff to support the overwhelming need.
