PANAMA CITY BEACH FL:    Dozens of beachgoers in Panama City Beach formed a human chain to rescue a swimmer who got stuck in the waves this weekend.

Double red flags flew across beaches in Panama City, Destin, Gulf Shores, Orange Beach and South Walton over the weekend while Tropical Storm Barry caused flooding and rough waters. The ocean was closed while the storm continued to make its way over Louisiana with heavy rains and the potential for dangerous flash flooding.

One Twitter user posted a video of a swimmer caught up in a rip current Sunday morning. In the video, dozens of beachgoers are seen forming a human chain to rescue the swimmer.
