On December 5, 2019, at approximately 8:06 a.m. the Okaloosa County 911 communication center
received a call from a subject in reference to a possible bomb threat in a vehicle on westbound
Interstate -10 at the 64-mile maker in Okaloosa County. The westbound lanes were closed and traffic
was redirected onto SR.285 at Mossy Head located at exit 70 mm, for the safety of the motoring public.
The State Fire Marshal office arrived on the scene and examine the vehicle in an effort to locate the
device. The Fire Marshall Agents completed this task and the vehicle was given an all clear, and the
vehicle was removed from the roadway.
